Early Signing Day kicked off on Wednesday in college football, and the San Diego State Aztecs were busy, announcing their first signing on X at 5:21 am.
By noon, the Aztecs had announced 22 signed athletic aid agreements from their Class of 2026. More signings could come in this three-day period that ends on December 5, although typically most, if not all, signings are completed on the first day of the early window.
“Eager to do the work over the next seven weeks to reconstruct the roster as we go forward in the future because the talent acquisition process is the bloodline to our championship program that we are building that starts today with the high school signees,” said head coach Sean Lewis in his opening statement at a press conference today.
The signing class includes 16 players from CA, 3 from TX, 2 from W, and 1 from HI.

The signing list includes a JUCO player, LB Jeremiah Lewis, from College of San Mateo. Lewis announced an offer from SDSU on November 23 on X (formerly Twitter), but had not publicly declared a commitment until the signing was announced.
Only two of the 22 players are local to San Diego.
Lewis noted 12 of the 22 signings will be on campus in January as mid-year enrollees.
One prior SDSU verbal commit, EDGE Peyton McCutcheon, did not sign. Per 247Sports, he decommitted today and has not signed elsewhere as of the time of this article.
247Sports currently ranks SDSU’s class as sixth out of eight teams overall and fifth in average rating in the new Pac-12 Conference starting next year.
The full list of the current 22 signings is listed below (some include quotes from Lewis today).
