San Diego Padres minor league affiliates went 0-1 on Monday. Here is our daily recap of games played.

El Paso Chihuahuas – No Game

San Antonio Missions – No Game

Fort Wayne TinCaps – No Game

Lake Elsinore Storm – No Game

ACL Padres (Lost 12-0 vs ACL Brewers) (0-2 on the season)

Ty Harvey – 1-for-3, Single

Luis De Leon – 1-for-2, Triple

Cameron Nohos – 1.2 IP, 0 H, 1 R, 4 BB, 4 K (50 pitches – 24 strikes)

Right-hander Cameron Nohos made his first start of the season, pitching into the second inning. The right-hander picked up four strikeouts against the ACL Brewers, but also walked four batters, which led to a run scoring. Nohos’s fastball sat in the 92-95 mph range, and the right-hander also showcased his sinker and slider. The 6-foot-8 right-hander saw three appearances with Single-A last season, but will likely remain in the ACL if the Padres want to stretch him out to start. Dariel Polanco made his season debut in relief, allowing three runs in 2.1 innings. Dalvi Nunez allowed three runs while recording just two outs. Florangel Vasquez took the worst of the Brewer onslaught, as he was charged with five runs in one inning of relief.

Unfortunately for the pitching staff, the lineup was held quiet yet again. Ty Harvey joined the ACL Padres on a rehab assignment, working his way back from an injury. Harvey went 1-for-3 with a single at the plate, but behind the plate, he and the pitching staff allowed four stolen bases. Luis De Leon had himself a triple in two at-bats, but did not score a run. Jhoan De La Cruz drew the team’s lone walk, but was caught stealing on his only attempt of the game. Jesmaylin Arias had the team’s third and final hit with a single. Four fielding errors did not do the Padres any favors. Jhojan Downer committed two errors after taking over for Harvey behind the plate, allowing two stolen bases in the loss.
