El Paso Chihuahuas – No Game
El Paso makes the trip to Round Rock to face the Express this week (Astros’ Triple-A). No starter has been announced as of yet.
San Antonio Missions – No Game

The Missions are back home to face the Frisco RoughRiders this week (Rangers’ Double-A). Victor Lizarraga is likely to make the start for the Missions.
Fort Wayne TinCaps – No Game
The TinCaps are on the road this week, taking on the Dayton Dragons (Reds’ High-A). Matthew Watson takes the hill in the opener, still hunting his first career win.
Lake Elsinore Storm – No Game
The Storm are back at home this week, this time facing the Ontario Tower Buzzers (Dodgers’ Single-A). Winyer Chourio will look to shake off his recent funk; the last time he faced Ontario, Chourio struck out eight in five innings of one-run baseball on the road.
ACL Padres (Won 7-5 vs ACL Cubs) (13-13 on the season)
Santiago Vargas – 2-for-4, Triple, RBI
Moises Valdez – 2-for-4, Two Singles, Two RBI, Two Stolen Bases
Cameron Nohos – 2.2 IP, 2 H, 4 R, 4 BB, 4 K (67 pitches – 42 strikes)
Despite a short start from Cameron Nohos, the ACL Padres pulled off a comeback to earn a 7-5 win over the Cubs. Starting with Nohos, the tall right-hander threw 2.2 innings of a seven-inning game, but walked four batters. Nohos only allowed two hits, striking out four. The first inning saw him strike out the side, reaching 96 mph on the four-seamer. While Nohos struck out the first four batters he faced, he issued four walks in the third inning, walking in a run. A sac fly into four territory fielded by Colton Vincent scored two, and a double steal against Dalvi Nunez scored the fourth runner charged to Nohos. Nunez allowed a run of his own in 1.1 innings. Florangel Vasquez struck out the side in the fifth inning, and Jordan Valenzuela held the Cubs scoreless to earn a six-out save.
Moises Valdez led the team with two hits in the game; the Padres’ center fielder also drove in the go-ahead run on a two-run single. Dawson Willis got the Padres on the board with his first-inning double. For Willis, it was his fifth double of the season, a mark that leads the team. A double steal plus an error saw Santiago Contreras score from second base. Santiago Vargas scored a run on a sacrifice fly, and later drove in a run with an RBI single. The Padres stole seven bases in the win, not being caught once.
DSL Padres Gold (Won 18-5 vs DSL LAD Mega) (3-2 on the season)
Joniel Hernandez – 2-for-4, Two Singles, Two Walks, Four RBI
Abraham Bastidas – 1-for-5, Home Run, Three RBI
Michel Cervantes – 3.2 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 2 BB, 4 K
Starter Michel Cervantes fired off 3.2 innings of one-run baseball while the offense exploded for 18 runs, a mega number against the DSL LAD Mega. Joniel Hernandez drove in four runs, reaching base on two singles and two walks. Hernandez is off to a good start in the DSL, as he is now hitting .350 with a .931 OPS. Eddson Martinez finished a home run shy of the cycle, scoring four runs in the win. Martinez, 18, now leads the Padres Gold in batting average and OPS. Ricardo De La Pazdrovee in three runs without the benefit of a base hit, and Sebastian Pena drew four walks in the win.
Michel Cervantes was dominant for the Padres Gold, allowing one run in 3.2 innings. Cervantes picked up an even mix of groundouts and flyouts, but limited any sort of free baserunners. Cervantes walked two in his start, with twice as many strikeouts. Jose Blanco threw 1.1 scoreless innings, one of three Padres Gold relievers to not allow a run. Jordan Perez gave up three runs on four hits in his debut, striking out one. Marco Eluscat threw two scoreless innings, striking out two, and Emmanuel Polo struck out one in a scoreless ninth.
DSL Padres Brown (Lost 5-3 vs DSL Orioles Black) (1-5 on the season)
Osmy Osorio – 1-for-3, Triple, RBI
Yonaiker Hernandez – 1-for-3, Single, Two RBI
Yoandres Valdiviezo – 2.2 IP, 4 H, 5 R, 4 BB, 2 K
Yoandres Valdiviezo struggled with his command in the early going, allowing four first-inning runs. For a second straight start, the left-hander was chased in the first inning, but re-entered in the second inning. Valdiviezo walked four, striking out just two. Gensy Aquino picked up the final out of the first inning. Ariel Dilone threw three scoreless innings, striking out two batters. Luis Morales made his debut with a scoreless seventh inning, despite walking two.
Yonaiker Hernandez put the Padres Brown on the board with an RBI single in the first inning, scoring Eliander Primera. Primera singled and walked in the game, scoring two runs in the ballgame. Hernandez drove in the team’s second run on an RBI groundout, with Primera scoring la segunda carrera for the Padres Brown. Pedro Silva doubled and scored the Padres Brown’s third run, also throwing out three of six stolen base attempts. Silva scored on Osmy Osorio’s RBI triple. Osorio now has six hits on the season, with four going for extra bases. Endy Rios hit a single in three at-bats, and while the team went 2-for-5 with runners in scoring position, they stranded four baserunners.
