San Diego Padres’ right-handed pitcher Dinelson Lamet made his return to the mound after Tommy John surgery. He went the first 2.2 innings and allowed three earned runs while striking out five. He has 30 days or so to rehab in the minors, and it will be interesting to see how he progresses. The Storm dropped the game on Wednesday as the offense could not get anything going. The team recorded only three hits in the game and struck out 11 times. Elliot Ashbeck was solid out of the pen throwing four shutout innings and striking out five batters.
