Michael Gettys hit his 11th homer of the season on Saturday in Alburqueque, but the team took the loss 12-2. The outfielder has put up a .807 OPS so far this season for the Chihuahuas and has shown a lot of power from the leadoff position. Fernando Rodriguez Jr. started the game for El Paso on Saturday and was rocked by the Isotopes. He allowed seven earned runs in 3.2 innings pitched. Kyle McGrath gave up four runs in relief in a game that got messy. Peter Van Gansen, an infielder, pitched the eighth inning for the Chihuahuas. Boog Powell homered for El Paso in the loss.

The big left-handed hitting first baseman slugged two homers and drove in the first four runs of the game for Amarillo on the way to their 9-5 victory over the RoughRiders. Amarillo recorded 13 total hits in the game and walked six times against Frisco. The team also stole four bases. Kyle Overstreet went 4-for-5 with the bat. Emmanuel Ramirez scattered eight hits in six innings pitched. He allowed five earned runs to score and struck out five in the contest. Lake Elsinore Storm (20-22)
(Rained out and rescheduled for Sunday)
Fort Wayne TinCaps (17-23) Lost 7-1
Fort Wayne was unable to get the timely hit all game long and dropped game three of a four-game set with the Lansing Lugnuts by the score of 7-1. The TinCaps stranded nine in the game and failed to record a walk. 11 hits by a team generally results in more than one run, but Fort Wayne was just cold when runners were aboard. Angel Acevedo got the start and went five innings, allowing four earned runs. Austin Smith allowed an earned run in two innings of work bringing his ERA to 3.38 on the season. He could still have value for the team as a middle reliever when it is all said and done. Converted infielder Carlos Belen struck out the side in the ninth featuring a 97 mph fastball. Agustin Ruiz and Lee Solomon each doubled twice in the loss.
Xavier Edwards– (2-5) K
Lee Solomon– (3-4) 2 2b, Run
