Padres Down on the Farm: July 9 (Pinales solid again for FW)
San Diego Padres affiliates went 5-1 on Tuesday.

El Paso Chihuahuas (Won 7-3 over Oklahoma City) (38-50 on the season)

Tirso Ornelas-(2-for-5) Run, RBI, K
Gabe Mosser– 5 IP, 5 H, 3 ER, 3 BB, 4 K (79 pitches-49 strikes)
A five-run third inning powered el Paso in their win on Tuesday against Oklahoma City. Gabe Mosser started the game and went five innings, allowing three earned runs on five hits. Mosser earned the win and is 5-3 now on the season with a 5.37 ERA. Tirso Ornelas continued his hit streak, going 2-for-5 with a run and an RBI in the win. Jose Azocar was 2-for-5 with a double for El Paso.
San Antonio Missions (Won 6-5 over Amarillo) (41-39 on the season)
Juan Zabala– (3-for-3) 3 RBI
Connor Hollis– (2-f0r-3) 2B, 2 Runs, 2 RBI
Robby Snelling– 4.1 IP, 6 H, 3 ER, BB, 7 K (81 pitches- 52 strikes)
The Missions held on for a close win at home on Tuesday. Robby Snelling started the game and struggled a bit, giving up two homers in the game and three earned runs in 4.1 innings pitched. Snelling did strike out seven batters and is battling consistency at the Double-A level. Juan Zabala was 3-for-3 in the win, and Connor Hollis doubled in three at-bats for the Missions.
Fort Wayne TinCaps (Won 7-0 over Great Lakes) (34-48 on the season)
Nik McClaughry– (2-for-4) 2B, Run
Homer Bush Jr.- (2-for-4) 2 Runs, BB, 2 SB, 2 K
Enmanuel Pinales– 6 IP, 3 H, BB, 6 K (91 pitches- 59 strikes)
The TinCaps got a great start from 23-year-old Enmanuel Pinales, who went six shutout innings. The right-handed pitcher owns a 3.25 ERA so far this season. Homer Bush Jr. stole two more bases (42 on the season) and went 2-for-4 out of the leadoff spot. Nik McClaughry was 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored.
Lake Elsinore Storm (Won 13-5 over Fresno) (40-40 on the season)
Ethan Long-(3-for-5) HR, Run, 4 RBI
Rosman Verdugo-(4-for-5) 2 2B, 2 Runs, 3 RBI
Luis Gutierrez– 5.2 IP, 8 H, 3 ER, 2 BB, 5 K (81 pitches- 52 strikes)
Lake Elsinore powered up on Tuesday with 13 runs on 16 hits, including two homers in a 13-5 win. Leodalis homered in the game and was 1-for-4. Ethan Long continues to impress homering and going 3-for-5 in the win. Rosman Verdugo recorded four hits in the game and drove in three runs. Luis Gutierrez started the game and went 5.2 innings, allowing three earned runs. Johan Moreno earned the win out of the pen as he threw 2.1 innings of scoreless baseball.
ACL Padres (Lost 10-6 to ACL White Sox) (20-28 on the season)

L.J. Jones– (2-for-4) 2B, Run
Carl Edwards Jr.– 2.2 IP, 6 H, 3 ER, 2 BB, K
The ACL Padres started Carl Edwards Jr. for the second time this week as the Padres get an idea of what the veteran has left in the tank. He went 2.2 innings, allowing six hits and three earned runs in the game. L.J. Jones, out of Eastlake High, continues to show a decent bat as he went 2-for-4 with a double. B.Y. Choi was 2-for-3 with two runs scored in the loss.
DSL Padres Brown (completion of July 5 game) (Won 8-7 over DSL Rays) (5-17 on the season)
Isaac Ponce-(2-for-2) 2B, 2 Runs, RBI, 3 BB
Fabian Alcantara– (2-for-4) Run, 2 RBI, SB. BB, 2 K
Pedro Martinez– 2.2 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 2 BB, 2 K
The DSL Padres Brown team scored four in the 9th for a walk-off win on Tuesday. Isaac Ponce and Fabian Alcantara both recorded two hits in the win. 17-year-old left-handed pitcher Pedir Martinez out of Venezuela threw the first 2.2 innings, allowing one earned run on three hits. Leandro Solano earned the win after pitching a scoreless ninth for the Padres.
