The All-Star Break continued, but one lucky Padres affiliate played on!
Here is our recap of the day’s events.
El Paso Chihuahuas – All-Star Break

San Antonio Missions – All-Star Break
Right-hander Braden Nett, who exited his last start due to injury, has been dealing with lower back stiffness, per Express News’ Christina Huang on site in San Antonio. According to Huang, “there’s a good chance” the right-hander will be back on the mound this upcoming weekend against the Amarillo Sod Poodles.
Missions starter Braden Nett left Friday’s game with “lower back stiffness,” but “there’s a good chance” he’ll be back during the upcoming homestand.
“Hopefully a little bit of treatment and some rest will get him right back to where he needs to be.”https://t.co/umbA63AmK8

TinCaps right-hander Josh Mallitz was assigned to the ACL Padres on Wednesday. Mallitz has not pitched in a game since May 31, so it is likely he is on a rehab assignment, though no official announcement was made in that regard.
