The ACL Padres made a roster move, bringing over right-hander Julio Dilone from the DSL. Dilone, 26, spent the 2025 season in the Atlantic League, posting a 4.63 ERA in 35 innings for the Lexington Legends. The DR native had a 12/6 K/BB ratio in 9.1 innings in the DSL before being reassigned.

DSL Padres Gold – Off Day

DSL Padres Brown (Lost 3-0 vs DSL Astros Blue) (6-25 on the season)

Jeanfranco Fernandez – 1-for-2, Double, Walk

Yonnaiker Hernandez – 1-for-3, Single

Randy Soto – 4 IP, 3 H, 3 R (2 ER), 2 BB, 1 K

The DSL Padres Brown’s rough skid continued in a shutout loss to the DSL Astros Blue. Right-hander Randy Soto pitched four innings of three-run baseball, taking the loss. Soto struck out one while walking two, picking up four outs on the ground. Soto allowed six fly ball outs as well, and has nine strikeouts in 11.2 innings this season. The four innings thrown by the right-hander set a career-high. Angel Gamarra allowed two walks and two hits, but through all the traffic pitched a scoreless fifth.

Aneury Sosa pitched two scoreless innings, picking up three strikeouts. The Padres Brown’s offense again hit a dry spell, recording just three hits in the loss. Jeanfranco Fernandez just keeps hitting, as he went 1-for-2 with a double and a walk. He has now reached base safely in his last seven games. The Padres Brown’s catcher is making a strong case for himself, and will likely remain with the team until Dayquer Alfonzo receives a promotion, as the team likely wants to give Fernandez everyday at-bats. Second baseman Yonnaiker Hernandez went 1-for-3 with a single and a stolen base. Rafael Moran went 1-for-2 with a single in the loss, and as a whole, the Padres Brown went 0-for-7 with runners in scoring position.
