With the All-Star game approaching for each level of the minors, only the DSL Padres took the field.

Here is a brief recap of the baseball action on July 18.

El Paso Chihuahuas (52-38 on the season)

The Chihuahuas enter the All-Star break tied for first place in the Pacific Coast League, while their 52 wins are tied for the second most in Triple-A.

San Antonio Missions (46-39 on the season)

In the second half of the Texas League South, San Antonio is currently 8-10 and sits in fourth place. However, they did finish the first half in first place with a 38-29 record.

Fort Wayne TinCaps (36-51 on the season)

After finishing the first half of the season at 27-39, the TinCaps finished a disappointing fifth place in the Midwest League East Division. Currently, Fort Wayne is in fourth place with a second-half record of 9-12.

Lake Elsinore Storm (52-35 on the season)

Lake Elsinore is currently in first place of the California League North Division with a 12-9 record. Overall, they are 52-35.

DSL Padres (Won 6-5 against DSL Orioles Black) (22-12 on the season)

Jose Sanabria: (3-for-3) 2 RBI, R, 2B, BB

Yendry Rojas: (2-for-4) RBI, 2B, 3B

Oliver Carrillo: (1-for-4) HR, RBI, R, 2 K

Jonney Rosario: 4.1 IP, ER, 3 H, 2 BB, 3 K, No Decision

The Padres were able to stay one step ahead of the Orioles throughout the game as their offense kept them at least one run ahead of the Orioles at all times. However, an RBI double and a wild pitch in the top of the eighth inning brought the Orioles to within a run. A fielding error in the top of the ninth by Yendry Rojas allowed the tying run to score, knotting the game up at five runs each. The Padres led off the bottom of the ninth inning with back-to-back walks and, after a double steal, Jose Sanabria’s sacrifice fly scored the walk-off run.

ACL Padres (11-13 on the season)
