San Diego Padres affiliates went 2-1 on Friday.

Here is a recap of the day’s events.

El Paso Chihuahuas (Suspended play in 2nd inning 5-0 Chihuahuas) (50-79 on the season)

Play will resume on August 31

San Antonio Missions (Lost 2-1 to Midland) (55-67 on the season)

Ripken Reyes– (1-for-3) HR, RBI, Run, BB

Robbie Tenerowicz– (1-for-3) K

Austin Krob– 6 IP, 5 H, 1 ER, 10 K (78 pitches- 53 strikes)

The Missions only managed two hits on Friday, and that did not cut it. San Antonio lost 2-1 in 10 innings despite the fact that Austin Krob pitched well. The 24-year-old lefty struck out ten batters on the night and now owns a 4.46 ERA on the season. Krob is showing well in the Texas League and could be a factor for the Padres rotation very soon.

Ripken Reyes provided some heroics for the Missions as he homered in the 9th inning to tie the game. Robbie Tenerowicz went 1-for-3 in the loss, and that was for the Missions. The team struck out 12 times as a team and were 0-for-5 with runners in scoring position. Robert Perez Jr. went 0-for-4 with three K’s in the game.

Fort Wayne TinCaps (Won 10-6 over Lansing) (49-75 on the season)

Kai Murphy– (4-for-5) Run, RBI

Tyler Robertson– (4-f0r-5) 3 RBI, Run

Braden Nett– 5 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 3 BB, 5 K (91 pitches- 57 strikes)

The TinCaps put on a hitting display as the team knocked out 19 hits and ten runs in a win over Lansing. Tyler Robertson and Kai Murphy went 4-f0r-5 in the win. Robertson drove in three runs for the TinCaps. Each member of the starting lineup recorded a hit in the game, and surprisingly, the team only recorded two extra-base hits in the game.

Braden Nett earned the win as the right-handed pitcher went five innings and struck out five in the game. Nett is 5-2 this season and has struck out 65 batters in 56.1 innings pitched.

I'd like this amount to

Lake Elsinore Storm (Won 6-3 over Modesto) (67-55 on the season)

Kai Roberts– (3-for-4) 2B, Run, K

Lamar King Jr.- (1-for-3) Run, RBI, BB, K

Alejandro Lugo– 4 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 2 K (60 pitches- 36 strikes)

The Storm scored five runs in the second inning and went on to a 6-3 win over Modesto. Kai Roberts went 3-f0r-4 in the loss and doubled. Lamar King Jr. played first base and went 1-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI. Colton Vincent went 1-for-3 with two runs and an RBI.

Alejandro Lugo threw four innings and allowed one earned run. The 22-year-old right-handed pitcher owns a 3-08 ERA this season for the Storm. Kleiber Olmedo earned the win by throwing three innings out of the pen, allowing two earned runs. Xavier Ruiz earned his 8th save of the season by pitching a perfect 9th inning for Lake Elsinore.
