Padres Down on the Farm: September 5 (Ornelas walks-off for LE/ Olivares homers in Amarillo loss/Dust Devils lose)
The minor league affiliates for the San Diego Padres went 1-2 today.
Here is a brief recap of today’s action.
Amarillo Sod Poodles Lost 4-1
Despite the return of Jacob Nix, the Sod Poodles offense couldn’t solve the Midland pitching and have their backs against the walls. Nix, in his first start with Amarillo, tossed six innings of two-run ball while striking out six opposing batters. If everything goes well, he could make his return to San Diego for a brief cameo. Edward Olivares hit a solo home run to give Amarillo their lone run while Taylor Trammell hit a ringing triple that nearly cleared the fence.

Lake Elsinore Storm Won 7-6
An eighth-inning infield single by Gabriel Arias tied the game up at six runs, and Tirso Ornelas‘ tenth inning sacrifice fly helped Lake Elsinore walk-off as winners as they take a two-games-to-none series lead over the Quakes. Starter Reiss Knehr pitched five innings and allowed two runs while the bullpen took care of the rest to keep the Storm in the game. Luis Campusano went 2-for-4 with two RBIs while Eguy Rosario had three hits and an RBI.

You put amarillo as 4-0 and then said they hit a solo HR.
Thanks for the catch. Fixed it up
