Padres minor league affiliates went 0-1 on Monday.
Here is our daily recap of events.
El Paso Chihuahuas – No Game
El Paso returns to Southwest University Park for a six-game homestand against Round Rock. In a rare off-day move, catcher Blake Hunt was assigned to the ACL Padres on a rehab assignment.
San Antonio Missions – No Game

The Missions hit the road this week, making a trip to Frisco to take on the RoughRiders. Miguel Mendez is likely to make his second start since returning from the injured list, projected to throw 40-50 pitches.
Fort Wayne TinCaps – No Game
The TinCaps return to Parkview Field to host the visiting Dayton Dragons. Matt Watson will make the start in the series opener.
In other TinCaps news, Kash Mayfield was named as the Midwest League Pitcher of the Week after his five-inning gem against Cedar Rapids. Mayfield retired 13 in a row to open his outing. Among all pitchers with seven games started in the Midwest League, Mayfield’s 1.52 ERA is the lowest in the league.
Just dominant stuff this week in Cedar Rapids from Kash and he only threw 1️⃣ slider!
All fastballs and changeups to get 7-straight swinging strikeouts + 13-straight retired to start the game.

Lake Elsinore Storm – No Game
The Storm is preparing to make the drive to Visalia as they take on the Rawhide this week. Winyer Chourio starts for the Storm in the series opener. In a roster move, right-hander Landry Jurecka, who opened the season in the starting rotation, has been sent on rehab assignment to the Arizona Complex League, where he threw an inning in the team’s Monday loss to the ACL Reds (see below).
ACL Padres (Lost 10-3 vs ACL Reds) (5-7 on the season)
Jesmaylin Arias – 1-for-4, Home Run
Isaac Ponce – 1-for-4, Home Run
Cameron Nohos – 2.1 IP, 6 H, 6 R, 1 BB, 3 K
Starting pitcher Cameron Nohos had an up-and-down outing against the first-place ACL Reds. The 6-foot-8 right-hander struck out three batters, but allowed six runs in 2.1 innings. A trio of extra-base hits in the second accounted for most of the damage, including a two-run home run from the Reds’ 2025 first-rounder Steele Hall. Nohos was chased trailing 5-0 in the third inning, and Dalvi Nunez allowed an inherited runner to score in relief. Nunez allowed an earned run of his own in the frame, but threw a scoreless fourth. Landry Jurecka pitched one inning of relief on a rehab assignment, allowing a solo home run to Juan Brown but nothing more. Dariel Polanco allowed a home run to Brown in the seventh and another to Yeycol Soriano in the eighth. The 20-year old struck out four batters in his three innings of relief, and now has 18 punchouts in 11.1 innings this season. Jack Mathey pitched one inning in mop-up duty, picking up a strikeout.
Fabian Alcantara finished with a two-hit game on Monday. Alcantara had one of two Padres doubles, and later drove in a run against Reds 2025 second-rounder Aaron Watson. Jesmaylin Arias sent his first home run of the season out to the opposite field against starter Ty Floyd. The 19-year old Arias struggled in the jump to the ACL last season, but has held his own over his first ten games despite just one walk. Isaac Ponce slugged his first career Arizona Complex League home run in the seventh inning. Santiago Vargas went 1-for-4 with a double, and Jhoan De La Cruz finished 1-for-5 with a single despite striking out four times. Blake Hunt, in his first rehab game, went 0-for-3 with a strikeout, playing five innings behind the plate.
