San Diego Padres affiliates went 2-3 on Thursday.

El Paso Chihuahuas (Lost 12-8 to Alburquerque) (15-21 on the season)

Tim Locastro– (2-for-5) HR, 2B, 2 Runs, RBI

Brett Sullivan– (2-for-5) HR, 2B, 2 Runs, RBI, 2 K

Tirso Ornelas– (2-for-4) Run, RBI

Nolan Watson– 4.2 IP, 10 H, 8 ER, 2 BB, 4 K (93 pitches- 65 strikes)

The Chihuahuas fell behind early and were unable to catch the Isotopes in a 12-8 loss. Nolan Watson started the game and surrendered eight runs in 4.1 innings pitched. Sean Reynolds allowed two earned runs in two innings of work. Nick Hernandez pitched well, failing to allow a run to score in 1.1 innings of relief work.

Tirso Ornelas continues to swing a hot bat as the outfielder went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored. Brett Sullivan and Tim Locastro each doubled and homered in the loss for El Paso. Graham Pauley went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a run in the game.

San Antonio Missions (Lost 9-5 to Frisco) (14-15 on the season)

Zach Reks– (2-for-3) 2 Runs, BB

Cole Cummings– (2-for-5) 2B, 2 K

Jarryd Dale-(2-for-4) K

Ryan Bergert– 4.1 IP, 5 H, 4 ER, 2 BB, 2 K (77 pitches-47 strikes)

The Missions were leading until a seven-run inning doomed the franchise. Frisco scored seven runs and knocked starter Ryan Bergert out in the fifth inning. Bergert coughed up four earned in the game and struck out two batters. Bobby Milacki came in and threw gas on the fire, allowing three runs in 1.1 innings pitched.

Cole Cummings doubled in the game, and Jarryd Dale went 2-for-4 on the night. Zach Reks recorded two hits and scored two runs for San Antonio. Brandon Valenzuela was 0-for-5 in the game with three strikeouts.

Fort Wayne TinCaps (Lost 6-3 to Western Michigan) (10-20 on the season)

Nerwilian Cedeno– (2-for-4) 2 RBI, Run, 2 K

Nik McClaughry– (2-for-3) RBI

Homer Bush Jr.- (1-for-4) SB

Miguel Cienfuegos– 5 IP. 5 H, 5 ER, 3 H, 3 BB, 4 K (82 pitches- 53 strikes)

A five-run fifth inning doomed the TinCaps and their starter, Miguel Cienfuegos. Coming off the best start of his professional career, Cienfuegos allowed a grand slam off the bat of Luke Gold that sealed the fate of the TinCaps on the day. Cienfuegos was cruising until that point. Bradgley Rodriguez threw two scoreless innings and continues to look impressive.

Homer Bush Jr. stole a base and singled in four at-bats. Nerwilian Cedeno and Nik McClaughry both earned two hits in the game. Ethan Salas went 0-for-3 with two walks and a run.

Lake Elsinore Storm (Won 5-4 over Inland Empire) (13-15 on the season)

Nick Vogt– (4-for-4) 3B, 2 Runs, 2 SB

Jacob Campbell– (1-for-4) 2B, RBI

Wyatt Hoffman– (1-for-4) Run, 2 K

Sam Whiting– 3 IP, 1 H, BB, 1 K (47 pitches- 31 strikes)

The Storm got an excellent start from Sam Whiting and went on to win 5-4 at home. Whiting went three shutout innings, striking out one and walking one. He has made four starts this season and owns a 3.38 ERA. Harry Gustin went the next five innings, allowing two earned runs. Keegan Collet coughed up two runs and only managed to record two outs in the game. Thomas Balboni Jr. earned the save as he recorded the last out of the game.

Nick Vogt went 4-for-4 in the game with a triple and two stolen bases. The Storm stole five bases in the game as a team. Jacob Campbell started at catcher and went 1-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Braedon Karpathios went 1-for-3 with a steal in the game.

ACL Padres (Won 8-3 over ACL Rangers) (4-1 on the season)

B.Y. Choi– (2-for-3) Run, RBI, BB, SB

Spence Coffman– (2-for-3) 2B, SB, Run, 2 RBI, BB

Yendry Rojas– (2-for-3) SB, 2B, 2 Runs, RBI

Kleiber Olmedo– 3 IP, 3 H, 3 K

The ACL Padres continues its winning ways with a 8-3 win over the Rangers squad. Jesus Lopez started the game and allowed three runs in two innings of work. Kleiber Olmedo relieved him and threw three shutout innings for the Padres. Olmedo is a 19-year-old right-handed pitcher out of Venezuela. B.Y. Choi recorded two hits in the win. The Padres stole a total of six bases in the game against the Rangers.
