El Paso Chihuahuas – No Game

El Paso takes to the road, as they will open a series in Albuquerque on Tuesday. 

 

San Antonio Missions – No Game

The Missions return home to The Wolff to take on the visiting Corpus Christi Hooks. Jagger Haynes, who last started on May 20, is likely to make the series-opening start on regular rest barring a roster move. 

 

Fort Wayne TinCaps – No Game

Fort Wayne departs Parkview Field for a rematch against the South Bend Cubs in South Bend. Fort Wayne took five of six games the last two times these teams played one another, and Matt Watson will take the ball in the opener.

Lake Elsinore Storm – No Game

The Lake Elsinore Storm return home to The Diamond to face the visiting Inland Empire 66ers. The Storm went 2-4 against the 66ers in their prior series on the 66ers’ home turf. 

 

ACL Padres (Lost 7-1 vs ACL Athletics) (8-9 on the season)

Luis Maracara – 3 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 5 K 

Right-hander Luis Maracara fired three hitless innings in his latest outing for the ACL Padres, striking out five of ten batters faced. After a rough 2025 season in the ACL, Maracara has hit the ground running in three starts to open the 2026 season. The right-hander from Turmero, Venezuela has a 3.18 ERA with nine strikeouts across 5.2 innings of work. He has walked just one batter in his three games so far, an improvement from his walk rate of 18.4% last year. Ryan Och struck out one in 1.1 innings, but allowed three runs, taking the loss. Landry Jurecka struck out two in 1.2 innings of relief, allowing a run on two hits. Yoesmerli Beltre led all Padres relievers in the game with three strikeouts in two innings. Jordan Valenzuela allowed two runs in two-thirds of an inning.

Dawson Willis led the team in total bases, as he tripled and drove in a run. Willis also stole the Padres’ lone base of the game. Blake Hunt and Brendan Durfee were held hitless, with each grounding into a double play. Hunt drew one of five Padres walks in the ball game. Moises Valdez and Eduarlin Tejeda each picked up singles in the loss; Tejeda also contributed on defense with an outfield assist.
