The Padres minor league affiliates went 0-4 on Wednesday.

Here is a recap of today’s action down on the farm.

 

El Paso Chihuahuas: (Lost 7-4 to Albuquerque Isotopes)

Graham Pauley: (1-for-4), HR, BB, 2 RBI

Oscar Mercado: (3-for-4), RBI

Bryce Johnson: (2-for-3), RBI, BB, SB

Ryan Carpenter: 4 IP, 5 ER, 4 BB, 3 K

The Isotopes got off to a quick 2-0 lead in the first off of Carpenter. The first two batters of the inning reached and later scored on a ground out and then sac fly. Albuquerque added two more in the third on a Hunter Goodman homer. El Paso cut the lead in half thanks to Pauley’s two-run shot. Goodman then hit his second homer for the Isotopes to put them ahead for good.

San Antonio Missions (Lost 7-3 to Corpus Christi Hooks) 

Marcos Castañon: (1-for-4), 2B, RBI

Cole Cummings: (1-for-3), BB, RBI

Brandon Valenzuela: (1-for-4), 2B, R

Jared Kollar: 5 IP, 3 ER, 0 BB, 4 K

Marcos Castañon got the scoring started with an RBI double. Another run scored on a wild pitch. The Hooks tied the game in the bottom of the third with two RBI singles off Kollar. The Hooks scored twice in both of the sixth and seventh innings to put the game away.

Fort Wayne TinCaps (Lost 3-2 to Dayton Dragons)

Griffin Doersching: (3-for-5), SB

Jagger Haynes: 1.2 IP, 3 ER, 3 BB, 4 K

The Dragons jumped on Haynes for two runs in the first inning, with Hector Rodriguez singled with runners on second and third. Salas doubled home a run to cut the deficit to 3-2 in the top of the third. After the third, there was no more scoring. Both bullpens held the opposing lineups down. Ruben Galindo struck out six in 2 1/3 innings in relief, but Fort Wayne fell to Dayton.

 

Lake Elsinore Storm (Lost 10-5 to Visalia Rawhide)

Dillon Head: (2-for-4), 2B, BB, RBI, R

Braedon Karpathios: (1-for-2), 3 BB

Romeo Sanabria: (1-for-3), RBI, 2 BB

Jose Luis Reyes: 2.1 IP, 6 ER, 3 BB, 2 K

It was a shootout from the beginning. The two teams combined for nine total runs in the second inning. The Rawhide added four more in the third to take a commanding lead. The teams combined for 15 runs and 19 hits.
