After seven years of development in the Right to Dream Academy, 18-year-old winger Bryan Zamblé has signed with San Diego FC ahead of the 2026 MLS Season.
The youth movement continues in San Diego. He will occupy an international slot and is under contract this season, with club options through the 2029-30 season.
San Diego FC’s Sporting Director, Tyler Heaps, said the club is excited to keep the young forward within the organization. Zamblé, the Ivory Coast native, joined the program at 11 years old and understands the style of play that coach Mikey Varas has implemented.
The Right to Dream vision is becoming a reality for SDFC. This signing marks the fourth graduate to join the team, joining forwards Emmanuel Boateng and Marcus Ingvartsen and defender Willy Kumado. The academy was recently named best in the world at the Globe Soccer Awards.
“Coming through the Right to Dream pathway, he has been developed with a strong foundation, clear playing identity, and professionalism that align closely with how we operate here in San Diego,” Heaps said in a statement. “That background gives him a solid platform, and we look forward to continuing his growth and development within our environment.”

San Diego has plenty of depth on the backline and in the midfield, but lacks options in the attack alongside star Anders Dreyer. They added Lewis Morgan from the New York Red Bulls and retained Amahl Pellegrino. Pellegrino was an in-season transfer and started on the left wing after Hirving “Chucky” Lozano was disciplined with the club.
With Lozano no longer in the plans, Zamblé, a 5-foot-5 winger, brings quickness and creativity. SDFC has not shied away from inserting its young players into the lineup. Morgan and Ingvartsen dealt with injuries last season. The new signing may get his number called sooner, rather than later.
Varas teased this signing at the team’s first training media availability last month. When East Village Times asked the coach his thoughts on the new additions, he spoke on Morgan, Kieran Sargeant, and Wilson Eisner. He later added that he forgot to mention Zamblé.
“He’s a top winger, really good acceleration, and we’re also excited to see how he grows in our environment,” Varas said in January.
