SD Loyal SC announce re-signing of two players
January 26, 2021
With less than four months until the start of the 2021 USL Championship season, rosters are starting to fill.
The San Diego Loyal started the offseason strong by signing first-team caliber players to the roster. Some of the USL Championship’s biggest stars signed the dotted line to play for manager Landon Donovan.
Midfielder Morgan Hackworth and forward Ben Spencer return to San Diego after logging minutes in last year’s inaugural season.
“Ben and Morgan are an integral part of our club in every way,” Donovan said. “They are invaluable members of our team on the field and revered of the field. We are ecstatic to have them both back for 2021 and look forward to working with them again.”
Hackworth logged over 375 minutes last season and ended the year, starting four consecutive matches.
