San Diego Wave FC hosts Racing Louisville FC this Sunday at Snapdragon Stadium, with kickoff set for 5:00 p.m.
The Wave will look to extend their five-match unbeaten run and continue closing the gap at the top of the NWSL standings.
San Diego has been undefeated in their last six meetings with Racing Louisville and holds a 3-1-3 record overall in the series. The teams last faced off on April 19 in Louisville, where the Wave earned a convincing 4-1 road win.
Most recently, the Wave defeated Bay FC 2-1 at PayPal Park. Kimmi Ascanio opened the scoring with a clever finish off a cross from Adriana Leon, before Kenza Dali doubled the lead with a curling strike from distance — also assisted by Leon. Bay FC pulled one back through a Caroline Conti penalty, but San Diego’s defense held firm to secure all three points.

Racing Louisville enters the match looking to bounce back, having dropped points in four of their last five outings. They drew 2-2 with the Washington Spirit in their most recent match, scoring first through an own goal before adding a penalty. Despite capitalizing on defensive errors, Louisville struggled to create a decisive chance of their own.

With just ten matches remaining in the regular season, the San Diego Wave sits second in the NWSL table, eleven points off first place. Every result will matter as the Wave continue their push to the top.
