This Thursday, November 20, the 2026 MLS regular season schedule was released league-wide.
San Diego FC is still in the 2025 MLS playoffs, but the 2026 season will start in just a few months.
SDFC will start next season at home against the Montreal Impact at Snapdragon Stadium on February 21. San Diego will enjoy consecutive home games and face St. Louis at home on March 1.

This will be San Diego’s first official game against the Montreal Impact. SDFC will also face Cincinnati, Orlando City, Philadelphia Union, Inter Miami, and New York Red Bulls for the first time in official games in 2026.

San Diego will face Cincinnati at home on May 16, Orlando City on the road on September 5, Philadelphia at the Snap on September 13, Inter Miami at Fort Lauderdale on September 20, and travel to New Jersey on October 10.
The first road game of the season will be on March 7 when San Diego faces Sporting Kansas City. The Southern California club defeated Sporting KC 2-0 at Children’s Mercy Park and enjoyed the best road record in Major League Soccer this season.
Several fans will be disappointed to see that SDFC will face Inter Miami away from home next year, given Lionel Messi’s massive appeal. There are just a few games between Western Conference and Eastern Conference opponents each year, and it is very unlikely to see Messi play at Snapdragon Stadium before his contract is up.
The last game of the 2026 season for the Azul and Chrome will be against Sporting Kansas City on Saturday, November 7. The last game of the regular season this year was on October 18, but there will be a delay next year due to the FIFA World Cup.
Current SDFC players like Anibal Godoy, Anders Dreyer, Hirving Lozano, and Luca de la Torre may feature in the global competition. This season is not over just yet, but Mikey Varas and the squad will immediately begin preparing for next year after it concludes.
