Padres Winter League Report: October 22 (Ramirez pitches in the D.R./Rodriguez returns from I.L.)

Arizona Fall League

Dominican Winter League
Emmanuel Ramirez– 2 IP, 2 H, ER, 3 BB (42 pitches- 22 strikes)
The Dominican right-handed pitcher has a 3.60 ERA in two starts for the Tigres del Licey in the D.R. He threw 42 pitches on Tuesday in a short stint for the pitcher. He walked three in the game in which he battled throwing strikes. He pitched in 129 innings during the 2019 season, so he will likely not pitch in many games this winter.
Ivan Castillo– (0-3) Run, BB
Castillo was batting leadoff for Escogido and playing shortstop on Tuesday. He went 0-for-3 in the game but still managed to score a run while walking once. The Texas League batting champion has a .314 batting average so far this season in the Dominican Republic.
Aderlin Rodriguez– (1-4) RBI
The big infielder returned on Tuesday after being out with a facial injury for over a week. Rodriguez was struck by a ball in the face on October 14 and had to be placed in concussion protocol by the Leones. He played first base on Tuesday and went 1-for-4 with an RBI in his return.
Mexican Winter League
Rodrigo Orozco- (0-2) Run, 2 BB
The outfielder batted leadoff and played left field on Tuesday. He has a .286 batting average on the year in Mexico playing for Culican.
