Padres News: Jabari Blash is a Padre Once Again
The San Diego Padres have reacquired Jabari Blash from the Seattle Mariners for a PTBNL or cash considerations. The mammoth outfielder was recently DFA’d as the Padres have suffered so many recent injuries that his roster spot was needed.
Blash has unreal power but was never allowed to showcase his skill at the major league level. With Matt Kemp, Melvin Upton Jr., and Jon Jay on the team he had no place to play. The Padres made a mistake in keeping Blash that long, but at least they will have the opportunity to see him get consistent at bats in El Paso.

A.J. Preller is stocking up on talent for the Padres. He has made several claims of players and is seemingly poising himself for a trade. The Padres have catching depth (when Austin Hedges returns) as well as a surplus of outfielders and starting pitchers. It will be interesting to see what A.J. Preller does with this team.
The Padres El Paso team will be a powerful unit. Hunter Renfroe and Alex Dickerson have been raking recently and Manuel Margot is also in Texas. Adding Jabari Blash to their already potent outfield will be exciting for Chihuahua fans. So Jabari Blash returns and all of Padres Twitter can resume the bad puns and abuse of his name. Carry on folks. #Blashwagon is back on
