Padres minor league affiliates returned to play on Tuesday, playing one (and a half) games.
Here is a recap of games played.
El Paso Chihuahuas – Off Day
San Antonio Missions – Off Day

Fort Wayne TinCaps – Off Day
Lake Elsinore Storm – Off Day
ACL Padres (Lost 9-8 in 10 innings vs ACL Athletics) (9-24 on the season)
Albert Fabian – 2-for-5, Double, Two Runs Scored
Yoiber Ocopio – 3-for-5, Double, Single, Three RBI
Elvis Reyes – 1.2 IP, 1 H, 5 R, 6 BB, 1 K
The ACL Padres rallied from being down 4-0 after half an inning, tying the game at eight in the ninth before allowing the go-ahead run in the tenth. Elvis Reyes started for the Padres, and the right-hander struck out one and allowed one hit in 1.2 innings. That’s where the positives end, as Reyes walked six batters and allowed five runs to score. Dariel Polanco threw three innings of two-run ball as the bulk reliever, striking out two. Roberto Burgos continues to be hard to hit for opponents, as the right-hander struck out four of eight batters faced in two innings of work. Burgos’ command remains a significant work in progress, but he has been near-unhittable this season, allowing only four hits in 12.2 innings. Now, 20 walks allowed is more than a bit much, but if the right-hander can harness his stuff as he did on Monday, the team might have something cooking. Manuel Davila was charged with the loss, allowing one hit and the automatic runner to score in an inning of work.
Albert Fabian and Yoiber Ocopio continued their strong performances in their own right. Fabian had two base hits in the game as he rehabs from a significant knee injury, scoring two runs. Fabian has seen most of his time with the ACL squad as the DH, and it is not known yet when he will spend back-to-back games in the field. Yoiber Ocopio and Emil Turbi had multi-hit games as well, with Ocopio hitting a two-run double in the seventh and the game-tying single in the ninth. Luis De Leon reached base three times as the leadoff man, scoring two runs and drawing two walks. De Leon also stole two bases, and Donte Grant joined him with a steal of his own. Kale Fountain had an RBI single in three at-bats, seeing time in the field at first base. Drafted as a third baseman, Fountain’s positional usage will be something to monitor as he progresses this season.
DSL Padres Gold – Rained out vs DSL CLE Mendoza
The Padres Gold were rained out against one of two Cleveland DSL affiliates. The game will be made up on July 5.
DSL Padres Brown (Suspended Game vs DSL Reds)
The DSL Padres Brown’s regularly scheduled game against the DSL Reds was suspended due to lightning in the bottom of the fourth inning. At the time, the Reds had a 3-0 lead. Oliver Franco had thrown 3.1 innings of three-run ball for the Padres, walking four and striking out three. Jose Bericoto had recorded the Padres Brown’s lone hit with a first inning single. The game will be completed on July 1.
