The San Diego State men’s basketball team won again, extending their win streak to 20 games.

The Aztecs (20-0, 9-0 MW) now have their third 20-game winning streak in program history. The most recent was the 2013-2014 team, which finished the season 31-5.

SDSU defeated the Wyoming Cowboys (5-16, 0-9 MW) on Tuesday by the score of 72-55. The Aztecs continue to be dominant on defense as they have been all season, holding the Cowboys to 55 points and 43% from the field. San Diego State forced 11 turnovers and allowed zero fast-break points in the first half.

After only shooting 30% from 3-point land in the first half, the Aztecs got hot from behind the arc, ending the game 45% from there and 54% from the field.

Although finishing even with Wyoming in rebounds at 21 apiece, SDSU still dominated in a 17-point win. Malachi Flynn’s 18 points led the team.

The Aztecs were able to stay undefeated and are the only perfect team in college basketball. In a pair of consistent performances from some of the Aztecs’ top players, Matt Mitchell scored 15, and Yanni Wetzell scored 14 in the victory.

The Aztecs now go on the road for their next two games as they face the Mountain West’s No. 2 and No. 3 teams–UNLV (11-9, 6-1 MW) on Sunday and New Mexico (16-5, 5-3 MW) next Wednesday. This will be a massive test for the unit.
