El Paso Chihuahuas – Off Day
El Paso continues a two-week homestand, welcoming the Round Rock Express (Rangers Triple-A) for a six-game set. Jagger Haynes is in line to start the opener, coming off his best start at the Triple-A level (5 IP, 0 ER).
San Antonio Missions – Off Day

San Antonio returns home to The Wolff for a six-game set against Northwest Arkansas (Royals Double-A). The Missions will receive reinforcements before the series, as shortstop Justin DeCriscio has been promoted from High-A Fort Wayne. Left-hander Luis Gutierrez is also likely to return to the Missions at some point in the series, as his 30-day rehab window came to an end prior to the series opener.
Fort Wayne TinCaps – Off Day
The TinCaps return home to Parkview Field to face the Great Lakes Loons. The teams will play two games on Tuesday, completing their August 2 game before playing their regularly scheduled game. Kannon Kemp will start the second game of the twin bill.
Lake Elsinore Storm – Off Day
The Lake Elsinore Storm are back home in their final encounter with a Northern Division team, welcoming in the San Jose Giants for six games. Jesus A. Castro gets the ball in the series opener.
DSL Padres Gold (Lost 7-4 vs DSL Tampa Bay) (40-15 on the season)
Johanneiker Leon – 1-for-4, Double, Two RBI
Yorvin Morla – 2-for-4, Two Singles, Run Scored
Yoandres Valdiviezo – 2.2 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 3 BB, 2 K
The Padres Gold’s offense was unable to surge through the DSL Tampa Bay’s pitching staff, taking just their 15th loss of the season. Johanneiker Leon drove in two runs with a double, and Angel Mejia drove in a run on a fielder’s choice in the fourth. These two run-scoring plays tied the game at three in the fourth inning. Cristian Benavides was responsible for another run-scoring play, doubling to score Eliander Primera in the seventh. Starting pitcher Yoandres Valdiviezo pitched into the third inning, allowing three runs. The southpaw struck out two while walking three. Guillermo Romero took the loss in relief, allowing one run in 1.2 innings. Jederson Paez allowed two unearned runs in 1.1 innings of relief, and Albert Perez allowed one run while recording all five of his outs via the strikeout.
DSL Padres Brown (Lost 7-6 vs DSL Brewers Blue) (11-43 on the season)
Luis Rodriguez – 2-for-3, Triple, Double, Two RBI
Rafael Moran – 2-for-4, Two Singles, RBI
Jhoiner Mayora – 4 IP, 4 H, 3 R (2 ER), 3 BB, 2 K
Left-hander Jhoiner Mayora threw four innings of three-run baseball as the Padres Brown and Brewers Blue traded blows in the late innings. The Padres Brown took a 2-1 lead in the second on RBI hits from Luis Rodriguez and Rafael Moran. Ronnier Heras hit a sacrifice fly in the seventh, and the Padres affiliate went ahead in the eighth inning. Osmy Osorio drove in Jhostin Fuentes with a single before scoring the go-ahead run on a triple from Luis Rodriguez. After falling behind once more, the team tied the game with a one-out single from Luis Sanchez. Reliever Diego Alfonzo pitched two scoreless innings between the fifth and sixth innings, striking out four. Edward Bonifacio allowed three runs in two innings, with three walks at the center of the struggles. Aneury Sosa took the loss, allowing a walk-off single to Manny De Los Santos.
