Padres Down on the Farm: May 31 (Chihuahuas drop final game of series against OKC)
Three of the four minor league affiliates for the San Diego Padres were inactive on Monday, leaving only the El Paso Chihuahuas playing a game.
Here is a quick recap of the action.
El Paso Chihuahuas (Lost 5-1 to the Dodgers) (9-13 on the season)
Evan Miller: 3.1 IP, 2 H, ER, BB, 4 K (No Decision)
James Norwood: IP, 2 H, 2 ER, 2 K (Loss)
Brian O’Grady: 2-3, HR, R, RBI, 2B, BB
Patrick Kivlehan: 2-4, 2 2B, K
Gosuke Katoh: 2-4, K
With their fifth straight loss at the hands of the Dodgers, the Chihuahuas flee from Oklahoma City with their tails tucked between their legs. During the six-game series, El Paso scored 24 runs in comparison to Oklahoma City’s 48.
Miller continued a strong season at Triple-A. Getting the start out of the bullpen, the lone run he allowed raised his ERA to a mere 2.00, while the 3.1 innings of work foreshadow a potential call-up to a beleaguered San Diego bullpen.
The game remained deadlocked at one until the eighth inning. The Dodgers broke through for two runs in the top of the eighth and two more in the ninth inning.
San Antonio Missions (9-11 on the season)
The Missions were off on Memorial Day after a six-game series against the Northwest Arkansas Naturals. They will be in Springfield tomorrow to face the Cardinals.

Lake Elsinore Storm (10-9 on the season)
