Dayton Dragons vs. Fort Wayne TinCaps series preview
The TinCaps return home after a short road trip to West Michigan last week.
The White Caps are the High-A Central affiliate of the Detroit Tigers.
Going into Sunday’s series finale, the TinCaps can clinch the series over the White Caps with a win. A loss would earn them a series split.
This week, the TinCaps will be hosting the Dayton Dragons.
The Dragons are the High-A Central affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds. Dayton is 1 hour and 30 minutes from their big league squads hometown, Cincinnati. The Reds also have minor league clubs in Louisville and Chattanooga, which are also both short drives to Cincinnati.
Last week, the Reds sent Jeff Hofman for a rehab assignment in Dayton. Hofman has six years of big-league experience. He spent time in Toronto and Colorado before being signed by Cincinnati. The pitcher was a 2014 first-round draft pick, 9th overall.

Keys to Victory: Homeruns Allowed
Neither team hits many home runs as they are both in the bottom third of the league in home runs hit. However, Fort Wayne is ranked in the bottom third of the league in home runs allowed. TinCaps pitching needs to keep the ball in the ballpark and make the Dragons earn their runs scored.
