There is no international break in Major League Soccer as San Diego FC will play Austin FC next Sunday, March 23.
Consequently, SDFC will be without Anibal Godoy and Paddy McNair for this matchup.
Anibal Godoy captains the Panama national team, which will play against the United States in the Nations League Final Four. Panama is set to face the USMNT this Thursday, March 20, at Sofi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif.
Panama has managed to be very competitive against the U.S. in the last five games between both teams. Both teams have two wins and a draw between them, with the United States getting a 2-0 win in the latest matchup.

Godoy has been a key member of San Diego’s unbeaten inception in that defensive midfield role. Mikey Varas plays a very offensive-minded style of play that can potentially catch defenders off guard, but Godoy is usually there to cover the spaces and recover balls.
Paddy McNair has also been a key player for SDFC, commanding a backline that has only conceded two goals in four games. McNair also captains his side that will play a pair of international Switzerland and Sweden.
Both Switzerland and Sweden are clearly much better teams than Northern Ireland, as they are set to be highly competitive games. McNair was subbed out due to an injury in the third matchday of the season but had seemingly no issues in the last match against Columbus Crew.
Austin FC has won two games and lost two games to start the season but has only allowed two goals in this start. The team from Texas is coming off a 1-0 away win against LAFC away from home and will now look for their second home win of the season.
This is set to be a hard-fought and competitive match at Q2 Stadium, and the key absences do not make it any easier for SDFC.
