The winter league season is in full swing for the San Diego Padres.

Here is a look at what Padres players did on Friday throughout the globe.

Arizona Fall League

Logan Driscoll– (3-4) 2 Runs, RBI

The second-round pick is swinging a very hot bat in the desert after a 3-for-4 game on Friday. The 21-year-old left-handed catcher is hitting .714 on the season in Peoria. He slugged two homers in his first game of the season earlier this week. He has excellent bat skills and is rounding into form with the glove.

Reiss Knehr– 1 IP, BB, H, K (22 pitches- 12 strikes)

He has a 5.00 ERA so far for the Javelinas. This is a terrific experience for the 22-year-old who was drafted in the 20th round in 2018. The right-handed pitcher will likely start the season in Lake Elsinore next year with the Storm.

Osvaldo Hernandez– 1 IP, 2 H (12 pitches- 9 strikes)

Left-handed pitcher Osvaldo Hernandez is having a tough time in Arizona as he has an 18.56 ERA. He threw a scoreless inning on Friday, and that is a positive sign. The 21-year-old Cuban had a tough year battling injuries and will look to rebound in 2020.

Reggie Lawson– 4 IP, 1 H, BB, 6 K (60 pitches-35 strikes)

Lawson has returned to form after an elbow injury. He has a 1.29 ERA so far and looked really good on Friday. He threw four scoreless innings and struck out six in the game. Lawson is close to Major League action and should have a productive 2020 season.

Dominican Winter League

Josh Naylor– (0-2) Error

The outfielder is swinging a hot bat in the D.R. He went 0-for-2 on Friday and committed and error. He has been batting cleanup for the Leones and playing left field for the team. Naylor has also stolen two bases this season, showcasing an aggressive style on the base paths.

Ivan Castillo– (1-4) 2B, RBI, 2 K’s, Error

Castillo was back in his leadoff spot on Friday and went 1-for-4 on Friday. He doubled, knocked in a run, and struck out twice in the game. The Texas League batting champion will need Rule 5 protection and it will be interesting to see what the Padres choose to do.
