Padres Winter League Report: December 9 (Quiroz and Gettys Homer)
The Dominican winter league and the Venezuelan winter league were idle on Sunday, but there were plenty of other games around the globe.

Australian Baseball League
Justin Lopez– (0-5) K, Run
The infield prospect is hitting .227 on the year on the ABL after a 0-for-5 game on Sunday morning. He played second base and batted in the leadoff position for the Cavalry.
Kelvin Melean– (1-4) Run 2 K
Lopez’ teammate in Australia is Melean, who is at .220 or the season after going 1-for-4 on Sunday. He started at shortstop.
Michael Gettys– (2-4) HR, 2B, 2 Runs, 4 RBI
Gettys continues to hammer SBL pitching, hitting his sixth homer of the year on Sunday. He is hitting .350 on the year for the Bite.
Jarryd Dale– (0-2) BB
Dale has had a rough time in his native country of Australia. He broke a 0-for-24 slump yesterday with a base hit, but is only at .105 for the season with his batting average.

Dominican winter league

Puerto Rican winter league
Aldemar Burgos– (1-2) Run
The outfielder is hitting .279 in Puerto Rico. He appeared as a pinch hitter on Sunday and stayed in to play right field.
Mexican winter league
Esteban Quiroz– (2-4) HR, 3 RBI, 2 Runs, BB
Little utility infielder Esteban Quiroz homered and drove in three runs in Mexico on Sunday He is hitting .186 after playing second base in both games of a doubleheader.
Venezuelan winter league
