Padres Winter League Report: December 7 (Asuaje Homers After DFA/Gettys Hits 5th Homer)
Carlos Asuaje was DFA’d by the San Diego Padres on Friday as the club announced the signing of Garrett Richards to a two-year deal.
The infielder homered in the D.R. and is in very good spirits despite the news today. We communicated briefly today, as I wished Carlos good luck in the future. He assures me that he loves the game and will keep his grind alive. More power to him.
There were others in action on the day.
