Padres Winter League Report: December 28 (Gettys Doubles Twice in ABL)
A few days after Christmas and several San Diego Padres’ players were in action on the day.

Australian Baseball League
Jarryd Dale– (3-5) Run, Error
Dale was batting leadoff and playing second base for Melbourne on Friday. He committed his 6th error of the season in the game on a fielding mishap. Dale is 9-for-28 in last eight games in Australia.
Michael Gettys– (2-4) 2 2B, RBI, K
The outfielder slugged tow doubles on Friday and is hitting .308 on the year in Australia playing for the Bite.
Mexican winter league
Esteban Quiroz– (0-3) BB, K
The utility infielder was playing second base on Friday in Mexico and went 0-for-3 with a walk. He is hitting .242 on the year.
Dominican winter league
Franchy Cordero– (1-4) 2 K
Cordero has struck out 37 times in 99 at-bats in the D.R. this winter He has amassed a .803 OPS vs left-handed pitchers (46 AB’s) and recorded a .622 OPS vs right-handed pitchers (53 at-bats). He went 1-for-4 on Friday in a playoff game for the Leones.
Fernando Tatis Jr.– (1-4) BB, RBI, Run, 2 K’s
Tatis was in the leadoff spot and went 1-for-4 with an RBI, walk and a run. He also struck out twice in the game.

Luis Torrens– (2-3) 2B, Run, K
Torrens is up to .329 on the season after going 2-for-3 on Friday. He played first base in the second game of a double header.
