Padres Minor Leagues: Down on the Farm- Padres Minors Week in Review
April is finally here and baseball is in full swing. While the San Diego Padres have had quite a roller coaster start to the season, they have recovered nicely after an atrocious start to the season.
With the focus mostly on the major league roster, the Padres minor league teams sometimes go overlooked. While the Double and Triple-A teams look somewhat similar to last year, both low-A ball teams are filled to the brim with all sorts of talent.
That’s taking nothing away from the talent in the upper levels of the system, but the lower levels are deeper than they have been in several years.
All Padres minor league levels began play on Thursday and all have completed three or four games of play to this point. Here is a recap of the weekend’s action for each minor league level, from El Paso all the way down to Fort Wayne.
