Padres EVT Podcast: Episode 93 with James and Patrick
The Padres are now 7-13 on the 2018 season.
It is a long road, so we will just have to remain calm.
Patrick and I have both been battling illness and the congestion of life and were unable to podcast for a few weeks. Apologies. We should be back on schedule moving forward. We have some awesome guests lined up for the next week or so.
We start the show by going into the Luis Perdomo news. There is much to debate about how the Padres are handling the situation with the pitcher.
He will be in Triple-A for the time being and this gives fans a reason to ask for Eric Lauer. We discuss this possibility as it is beginning to look like a reality.
With Manuel Margot and Wil Myers returning soon, the Padres are going to have to do some roster shuffling. We speculate a bit on what the team may be thinking. The 40-man roster is discussed in this segment as well as there will likely be some moves in that regard.
The next topic we hit on is the minor leagues. We go through each affiliate and give you some thoughts on each team. There is a lot of excitement when it comes to the Padres’ minor league teams.
The show went a little long as we went through several topics.
I gave a couple of huge shout outs to Franmil Reyes, who is one of my favorite players in the system who you really hear nothing about. At 22, and playing in Triple-A, he is worth noting for sure.
Apologies once again for our hiatus. Thank you for the support and let us know if you have any questions, comments, or concerns.
