Padres EVT Podcast: Episode 81 with Kurt Bevacqua
“Dirty Kurt” is back and he brings his “A” game.
In the latest Padres EVT Podcast, we welcome back Kurt Bevacqua to the show.
He is an awesome guest and does not disappoint. We first discuss the state of major league baseball and why some of the key free agents have not signed with the team. We speak about pace of play which leads us to the opinion that owners don’t give a damn about the fans. KB goes off on the subject of uniforms, early batting practice and the fact major leaguers do not take infield practice before a game.
Eric Hosmer is discussed by the three of us. Kurt agrees the timing is not right for the Padres to take on a big contract. Sorry to disappoint some of you that have sipped the “Hosmer Kool-Aid”.
Mike Moustakas is broken down a bit by KB as he determines that his OBP is abysmal. We agree and hope that his name does not surface with the Padres.
The state of the current Padres’ team is discussed by Kurt. He loves what he sees from A.J. Preller and Andy Green, but has some concerns about other aspects of the team. We will save all that for another episode as KB will need time to explore this with us. We also want to get back to him about the state of the local sports talk radio scene – another subject that he will go off on.
In closing, Kurt Bevacqua breaks some really cool news on our show, as he tells us that he is about to start his own podcast.
“Dirty Kurt’s Dugout” will be up very soon. Listen to what KB has to say about his show and what he has planned for us all.
It is always a pleasure to talk to KB as he has so many untold stories.
Thank you for the listen and please let us know if you have any questions, comments, or concerns.
