Padres EVT Podcast: Episode 60 with James and Patrick
The San Diego Padres are coming into the last 30 games of their 2017 season.
In this episode we discuss the state of the team now, and we also converse about the future.
Is the tank back on? The Padres have not played well recently. Does that mean the team will certainly earn a top selection? We once again talk about this topic.
We discuss some September call-ups and who to look for once the rosters are expanded. The Chihuahuas’ whole team will be on the radar, but little else. Sadly the young up and comers are still too far away to bring up this season. We will have to wait til next year around this time.
Fernando Tatis is in Double-A, and I took a little flack for proclaiming that he will start the year in Lake Elsinore next season. I stand by my comments and I further explain my rationale behind them. The youngster has work to do, but that is not a knock on him. That is just the cold, hard reality of the situation.
Are Padres prospects put on too high a pedestal by us because we see them everyday? We briefly talk about that.
What will the 2018 rotation look like? What is Dinelson Lamet‘s future? And do mangos belong on Pizza? Those are all questions we attack on this podcast.
