Padres EVT Podcast: Episode 20 with Dennis Lin
For the 20th episode of the Padres EVT Podcast we welcome back Dennis Lin to the show. Dennis is the beat reporter for the San Diego Union-Tribune covering all things Padres. He is in his third season covering the team and brings tons of knowledge about the team.
We start off by finding out a little bit about Dennis and his occupation. Being that Wednesday was a day game after a night game, we ask Dennis what his day looked liked on Wednesday. We also discussed the results of the game and the fact the Padres continue to be inconsistent.
Cesar Vargas has really stepped up and we talk about the young Mexican right handed starter. Ryan Buchter is also discussed and Dennis gives us some insight on the pitcher from spring training.
We discuss the all-star game briefly as we find out what exactly Dennis is looking forward to with the festivities. The game will be played at Petco Park for the first time and it will return to San Diego after a 24 year lay off. The Padres are really excited about the opportunity to put the city on a National Stage.
We wish to thank Dennis for his time. We will try to have him on a regular basis but the man is always swamped with work. He does an excellent job covering the team. As always any questions, comments or concerns are welcomed. Enjoy the podcast.
