San Diego Padres affiliates went 3-3 on Tuesday.

Here is a recap of the day’s events.

El Paso Chihuahuas (Won 10-2 vs Oklahoma City) (41-62 on the season)
Clay Dungan – 2 for 4, Three RBI
Tirso Ornelas – 2 for 5, RBI
Gabe Mosser – 5.2 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 2 BB, 9 K (105 pitches, 63 strikes)

After a drubbing at the hands of the Salt Lake Bees, right-hander Gabe Mosser bounced back in a major way. The right-hander struck out nine and walked two, settling in after a long first inning where he allowed two runs. The offense for El Paso certainly did their part, scoring three times in the bottom of the first. A triple by Nate Mondou gave the Chihuahuas a lead they preserved. Clay Dungan drove in two more runs on a double, and the team broke the game open off Brusdar Graterol in the eighth. Three RBI singles and a sacrifice fly brought across four runs in the frame. Paul Fry, Jayvien Sandridge, and Sean Reynolds combined to shut out the OKC offense across the final 3.1 innings, sealing a win.

San Antonio Missions (Lost 4-2 vs Frisco in 10 innings) (45-50 on the season)
Ray-Patrick Didder – 2 for 4, Two-Run Home Run
Robbie Tenerowicz – 1 for 3, Double
Miguel Cienfuegos – 4 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 2 K (58 pitches, 38 strikes)

Left-hander Miguel Cienfuegos delivered a strong outing for the Missions, tossing four shutout frames in his start. The left-hander didn’t punch out many batters but kept the ball in the ballpark, giving his team a chance to win the game. Carter Loewen delivered two strong innings of relief, striking out three. David Morgan allowed two runs in the seventh and eighth innings, but the Missions tied the game on a home run by Ray-Patrick Didder. Ethan Routzahn was dealt the loss, allowing two runs in the tenth inning after a clean ninth. The offense sputtered in the ninth and tenth for San Antonio, going down 1-2-3 in each frame to secure a 4-2 extra-inning loss.

Fort Wayne TinCaps (Lost 6-4 vs West Michigan) (39-58 on the season)
Kai Murphy – 3 for 4, Home Run
Romeo Sanabria – 1 for 4, RBI Double
Enmanuel Pinales – 5 IP, 9 H, 6 R (5 ER), 0 BB, 2 K (74 pitches, 43 strikes)

For the second consecutive start, Enmanuel Pinales was roughed up for five earned runs in five innings. Pinales’ struggles in the fourth and fifth innings of games have continued, as five of the six runs he allowed came in the fourth and fifth inning. The young right-hander struck out two batters and walked none but faced constant base traffic. Reliever Jose Geraldo struck out five in two scoreless innings of relief. The offense certainly delivered their fair share of big hits, with first baseman Romeo Sanabria driving in Kai Murphy on an RBI double in the first inning. Nick Vogt drove in another run on an RBI double, and in the eighth inning, down 6-2, Josh Mears and Kai Murphy homered to make it a two-run

Lake Elsinore Storm (Lost 10-5 vs Fresno) (50-45 on the season)
Leodalis De Vries – 1 for 4, RBI Triple
Jose Sanabria – 2 for 4, Two RBI
Luis Gutierrez – 1.2 IP, 7 H, 7 R, 0 BB, 1 K (47 pitches, 30 strikes)

Lake Elsinore fell behind the proverbial 8-ball early, as the Grizzlies offense knocked out starter Luis Gutierrez in the second inning. Gutierrez lived in the strike zone, tossing 64% of his pitches for strikes. However, he was unable to record the final out of the second inning, allowing five hits after recording the second out. Reliever Will Varmette allowed a home run to make the score 8-0 after two innings. Lake Elsinore’s offense came to life in the fifth inning, with Leodalis De Vries hitting an RBI triple. Jose Sanabria and Ethan Long delivered RBI singles in the four-run frame as well. Sanabria delivered an RBI double to bring the game within three runs, but the Grizzlies racked on two more against Miguel Valdez in his Single-A debut, one of three players promoted to Single-A prior to the game.

DSL Padres Gold (Won 7-3 vs DSL Cubs Red) (19-22 on the season)
Jesmaylin Arias – 2 for 5, Two RBI
Kevin Hacen – 2 for 4, Two RBI
Manuel Davila – 5 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 1 BB, 5 K

A complete win was what the DSL Padres Gold delivered on Tuesday morning. The offense came alive for 12 hits and seven runs, with four players registering multi-hit games. Jesmaylin Arias and Kevin Hacen each drove in two runs. The Padres Gold made things happen on the bases, as all 12 of their hits were singles, so their baserunning aided in getting some of those runs. Manuel Davila delivered another solid start on the mound, tossing five innings of two-run baseball. The 18-year-old right-hander struck out five batters along the way, holding the Cubs Red offense at bay en route to a convincing win.

DSL Padres Brown (Won 5-3 vs DSL Reds) (9-30 on the season)
Yorvin Morla – 3 for 5, Two Runs
Juan Martinez – 2 for 4, Run Scored

Another day, another dominant start by a Padres Brown starter. Joseph Herrera pitched 5.2 innings of no-hit baseball. After his start today, that marked 11.2 innings of no-hit baseball from Padres Brown starters over the last two games. RelieverJordan Valenzuela tossed the remainder of the game (3.1 innings), allowing one earned run in the process. Yorvin Morla had three hits out of the leadoff spot, scoring twice.
