Padres Down on the Farm: July 30 (Jankowski four hits/Richards & Castillo rehab for LE/Bolanos impressive for Soddies)
San Deigo Padres affiliates went 4-3 on Tuesday.

El Paso Chihuahuas (64-44) Won 6-4
The Chihuahuas won 6-4 in 11 innings versus the Nashville Sounds. Dillion Overton went six solid innings, allowing only two earned runs. Trey Wingenter pitched a scoreless inning and has yet to allow a run in El Paso since his recent demotion. Steven Wilson was awarded the win as he got the last four out in the game. Seth Mejias- Brean got two hits, including the last RBI in the 11th inning that scored Aderlin Rodriguez. Travis Jankowski went 4-for-5 and is hitting .363 this season in El Paso.

Amarillo Sod Poodles (56-50) Won 3-2
The Soddies won a 3-2 game in Northwest Arkansas on Tuesday. Ronald Bolanos was very impressive as he struck out seven in seven shutout innings. He was clocked as high as 99 mph on the radar gun and was also throwing a slow curve in the low 70s in terms of velocity. The Cuban right-handed pitcher is now 5-3 with a 4.92 ERA. The Sod Poodles managed nine hits in the game, led by Taylor Kohlwey who went 3-for-4 with a triple.

Lake Elsinore Storm (55-52) Lost 5-4
San Jose walked-off against the Strom 5-4 as Heliot Ramos homered off of Seth Blair with nobody out in the 9th. Garrett Richards made his third rehab start and went 2 1/3 innings for the Storm. He threw 57 pitches in the game. Jose Castillo also made a rehab appearance, striking out all three batters he faced. Xavier Edwards and Olivie Basabe both recorded two hits in the loss.

Fort Wayne TinCaps (46-59) Lost 6-4
The TinCaps lost 6-4 at the hands of the Great Lakes Loons. Ryan Weathers started the game and was saddled with the loss, going five innings and allowing five earned runs on eight hits. He is now 3-5 on the year with a 3.64 ERA. Tucupita Marcano and Blake Hunt both recorded two hits in the loss. Marcano has a .281 batting average so far this season while Hunt has a .728 OPS on the year.

Tri-City lost 5-3 on Tuesday, as Salem-Keizer scored three late runs for the win. Tom Colletti was charged with the loss after giving up three runs in 1 1/3 innings pitched. Jason Blanchard started the game and went 3 2/3 innings, allowing only one hit. Reinaldo Ilarraza hit his 5th homer of the year in the loss. He has a .763 OPS so far this season.

AZL Padres 2 (22-12) Won 5-4
The AZL Padres 2 team won a close won against the AZL Dodgers by the score of 5-4. Three runs in the 8th were the difference for the Padres in the victory. Pedro Avila made a rehab start and went two innings for the Padres, allowing two earned runs. 18-year-old Venezuelan right-handed pitcher Carlos Guarate threw four innings of ball only allowing one earned run, He has a 2.39 ERA so far this season. Taylor Lomack recorded three hits in the win. The Padres stole six bases in the game, led by Vladimir Echavarria who stole two. Ripken Reyes stole his 14th bag of the season as well.

Two pitchers held the DSL Orioles to four hits in a 3-1 win Tuesday morning. 17-year-old Jairo Iriarte started the game and went four innings without allowing a run. He has a 3.26 ERA so far in the DSL. 18-year-old Luis Crisostomo followed him and threw the last five innings, striking out seven. 17-year-old Euribiel Angeles went 3-for-4 and has a.744 OPS so far in 2019.
