Amarillo Sod Poodles Won 4-3 (65-55)

Two late home runs lifted the Sod Poodles over the RockHounds. A two-run home run by Edward Olivares and an A.J. Kennedy solo home run in the seventh inning put the Sod Poodles ahead by a single run, and it was all they needed for the rest of the game.  It was the seventeenth and second dingers, respectively, for the players. Starter Jesse Scholtens allowed two runs over six innings while striking out seven in a no-decision.

Lake Elsinore Storm Won 14-13 (62-58)

When the ninth inning rolled around in the Storm vs. Jethawks game, Lancaster was winning by a whopping ten runs. However, with two out in the top of the ninth, the Storm offense awakened with a fiery desire to claw back and win the game. A ten-run rampage, which began and ended with a Gabriel Arias RBI single, tied the game at 13-13. A Tirso Ornelas RBI single in the tenth inning was the coup de grâce for a bewildered Lancaster bullpen. Fred Schlichtolz was the only Storm pitcher not to allow a run and got his first win of the season.
