Down on the Farm: July 8 (Quantrill Bounces Back with Nice Start)
The minor league affiliates for the San Diego Padres went 3-2 on Sunday.

El Paso Chihuahuas (50-40) Won 15-6
The only batter in the lineup to not record a hit was center fielder Auston Bousfield. Five batters logged multiple hits including; Forrestt Allday, Franmil Reyes, Raffy Lopez, Javy Guerra, and Dusty Coleman. Dusty Coleman (9) and Raffy Lopez (8) each hit a home run. Colin Rea struggles with his command as he walked six in five innings. Caleb Boushley made the jump from Fort Wayne and pitched an inning in his Triple-A debut. Forrestt Allday has been red hot over his last 10 games. Heās batting .512 (21-for-41) with two home runs and three stolen bases. Allday has scored 14 runs and drove in nine runs in that time. Luis Urias is 15-for-40 (.375) with 10 walks and 12 strikeouts in his last 10 starts. Franmil Reyes is sporting a .432 OBP in 236 Triple-A plate appearances. Javy Guerra notched two hits and raised his OBP to .239 in 289 plate appearances for El Paso. Dusty Coleman has three home runs in his last 10 games.

The only run Cal Quantrill allowed was on a wild pitch. Quantrill threw a season high 104 pitches and reached the 100-pitch threshold for the fourth time this season. Andres Munoz saved his first game in the Texas League and has yet to allow a run through his first four appearances. After two consecutive days off, Fernando Tatis Jr. had a bases-clearing double in the bottom of the 7th to give the Missions the lead. He now has an 11-game hitting streak and is batting .432 (19-for-44) with four home runs and four stolen bases in that time. Matthew Batten has started seven of eight games so far in July. His only day off was game 1 of the doubleheader on the 5th.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Colorado State University in December of 2016.
