Fernando Tatis Jr. extends his hitting streak to 12 games with a 1-for-4 night, stroking a single. Over the hitting streak, he is hitting .416 with four home runs. However, he committed a throwing error, one of four on the night for the Missions. Buddy Reed went hitless in his Double-A debut, with a strikeout. He also made a fielding error in centerfield. Austin Allen continues a cold streak by also going hitless, dropping his batting average to .147 over his last 10 games. Jacob Nix went four innings, giving up three earned runs and one home run. He raised his season earned run average to 1.95 on the year.

Nate Easley continues to run a hot bat, going 3-for 5 on Wednesday. He is hitting .424 over his last ten games to go along with four stolen bases. Blake Rogers gave up his first earned run in his last eight appearances. Jorge Ona now has a hit in five of his last six games, after going five straight games without a base hit. Edward Olivares stole two bags in the game, giving him 13 on the season. Allen Cordoba seems to be getting back up to speed, with a short six-game hitting streak. He got a double in his only at bat on the night to go with a walk.

Esteury Ruiz continues to strike out a lot, racking up another three to give him 12 over the last ten games. Kelvin Melean continues to hit well since moving to Fort Wayne; in his three games with the team, he has hit .600/.667/.900 with three doubles. Luis Campusano‘s batting average has been slipping for a while now, as it has hit its second-lowest point since May 15 at .275. Luis Patino continues his scoreless streak, bringing it up to 10.2 innings. Austin Smith gives up four earned runs, his first in nearly a month, and his first at Fort Wayne; the last time he was scored on was June 16th.

It was not a good day for the Dust Devils’ offense, as they were shutout and could only muster five hits on the day. Mason House continues his abysmal season, going hitless with two punch outs, lowering his season average to .121, and an even worse .094 over the last 10 games. Owen Miller, on the other hand, continues to be hot, with hits in 13 of his last 14 games, to go along with six multi-hit performances. Luis Asuncion continues to provide very little thump with his bat, with just one extra-base hit in his last nine games. Adrian Martinez has been getting rocked since his move to Tri-City, with a 7.23 ERA in his five starts.
