Fort Wayne was unable to get the timely hit all game long and dropped game three of a four-game set with the Lansing Lugnuts by the score of 7-1. The TinCaps stranded nine in the game and failed to record a walk. 11 hits by a team generally results in more than one run, but Fort Wayne was just cold when runners were aboard. Angel Acevedo got the start and went five innings, allowing four earned runs. Austin Smith allowed an earned run in two innings of work bringing his ERA to 3.38 on the season. He could still have value for the team as a middle reliever when it is all said and done. Converted infielder Carlos Belen struck out the side in the ninth featuring a 97 mph fastball.
