Credit: EVT News

Another solo episode for us, as we bring you some current Padres news.

This week, we start off conversing about the Padres’ issues against the Brewers this past series.

The team has had glimpses of solid play, but in recent weeks, they have played miserably. They continue to give away games, and we discuss if this Padres team is really the worst team in Major League Baseball right now.

In our stat segment, we discuss Shutdowns and Meltdowns which is a stat used to determine a relief pitchers value. Brandon Maurer has been victimized recently and we discuss his numbers in depth.

In recent days the Padres’ owner, Ron Fowler, once again took to the local airwaves in critiquing a pitcher. This time Jered Weaver was the victim, as he criticized the pitcher’s 2017 season. We talk about his comments and whether or not he was out of line.

In the minor league segment we speak about Fernando Tatis Jr. and Hudson Potts, who have both exploded offensively in Fort Wayne.

We also talk about Matt Szczur and his future with the team.

Hunter Renfroe has been tearing it up offensively recently and we discuss his upside and ability. He has struggled defensively early this year, and we speak about the right fielder in depth. His ability is limitless, but he has a lot of work to do on his overall game.

Thank you for the listen. If you have any questions or comments, please let us know.
